Design Studios Health Care Studio understands the changing health care
scene. The increasing dominance of technology for both delivery of
health care, dissemination of information and the remote monitoring of
patients in their home. The impact of increased life expectancy will
have on health care coupled with the increased expectations for quality
of life enhancement.
We understand the success of a health care facility relies
on getting the flows right - patient flows, movement of staff and
supplies. To achieve this we explore options and map the flows onto each
scenario - identify points of congestion and excessive travel. We then
refine these to achieve the right balance.
Stephen Phillips brings over twenty five years of
experience with the health and aged care sectors to the Health Care
Studio. Stephen was the development manager with one of Australia's
largest non-profit aged care providers. Stephen has contributed to the
design of numerous nursing homes and retirement villages. Currently he
is managing the design of a specialist day surgery centre and private
hospital.
