AFP in Practice

AFP in
Practice

AFP in Practice questions will be published in AFP each month and are designed to get you started in a small group learning (SGL) activity in your practice or with colleagues.

AFP will supply each month

  1. AFP of course!
  2. A series of suggested questions relating both to the articles in AFP and to the five domains of general practice
  3. Learning objectives and suggested activities with each set of questions
  4. International Classification of Primary Care (ICPC) codes for the topics covered by the articles in AFP
  5. Where relevant a list of useful resources on the topic such as websites, RACGP publications, NHMRC and other clinical guidelines.

To earn 30 Category 1 CPD points for a SGL activity you will need a minimum of four participants including at least two GPs. Maximum group size is 10. Groups may also include practice nurses, practice managers, community health workers or allied health professionals.

The minimum requirements are 8 hours of activity plus a planning and review meeting.

You can use the kit below to design your small group activities and obtain all the paperwork needed to submit to QA&CPD.
