Provider/EAR online user manual
Introduction
The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) Quality Assurance and Continuing Professional Development (QA&CPD) Unit is pleased to launch a range of online Provider services for the 2008 –2010 triennium.
The new online facilities:
- enable more effective collaboration between Education Providers and the QA&CPD Program
- reflect the QA&CPD Program’s recognition of the high quality work Education Providers achieve and their need to minimise time spent on administration requirements
- allow Providers and the QA&CPD team to extend efforts towards creating opportunities for general practitioners (GPs) to participate in rewarding and effective CPD activities – our mutual key objective.

It is anticipated that the Provider online services will clarify and streamline the relationships between Provider organisations, education activity representatives (EARs), and the QA&CPD Unit. Online facilities will enable Education Providers to be more proactive and informed regarding interactions with the QA&CPD Unit. The online processes will also minimise turnarounds for activity notifications and other administrative requirements.
The online user manual (available below) provides detailed information to support Education Providers' use of the online services. Education Providers should first refer to the online user manual if they have any queries about, or experience any difficulties using, the online services.
