Browsers
We have made an effort to make sure that this website works well and can be viewed by everybody. If you are using older browsers or have a required technology disabled, you maybe restricted from using some functions.
The RACGP website works best with recent browsers. If you are using an older web browser, you should still see all the core information on this website, but we strongly recommend that you upgrade your browser. Recent browsers we recommend include:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 (Windows)
- Mozilla 1.7.11 (Windows, Mac, Linux)
- Firefox 1.0.6 (Windows, Mac, Linux)
- Netscape 8.0 (Windows)
- Safari (Mac)
- Opera 8.02 (Windows, Mac, Linux)
- Camino 0.8.4 (Mac)

Javascript
Some parts of the RACGP website use Javascript. You should still be able to use the website if you have Javascript disabled, but you may not have access to certain features or be able to login. High security settings on browsers can turn Javascript off so these may need to be changed.
To turn on JavaScript, follow the directions below:
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 and 6 (Windows)
- Select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
- Click the Security tab.
- Click Custom Level in Security Level for this Zone.
- Scroll to Scripting.
- At Active Scripting, choose Enable.
- Click OK to leave Security Settings and OK again to leave Internet Options.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 (Mac)
- Choose Preferences under the Edit menu.
- Click Web Content under Web Browser.
- In Active Content, check the Enable scripting box.
- In Java click Enable Java.
- Click OK.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 (Windows)
- Select Internet Options from the View menu.
- Click the Security tab.
- Set the security level for this zone to Custom.
- Click the Settings button.
- Scroll down and select Active scripting.
- Click the OK button to close the Security Settings and click OK to close the Internet Options.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 (Mac)
- Click the Preferences icon in the Toolbar.
- Click the Web Content icon under Web Browser.
- In Active Content, check the box next to Enable scripting.
- Click the OK button.
Netscape 7 (Windows)
- Select Preferences from the Edit menu.
- Click Advanced on the left side of the dialog box.
- Check the box next to Enable Java.
- Click the OK button.
Netscape 6 (Windows, Mac)
- Select Preferences from the Edit menu.
- Click Advanced on the left side of the dialog box.
- Check the box next to Enable JavaScript for Navigator.
- Click the OK button.
Netscape Navigator/Communicator 4 (Windows, Macintosh)
- Select Preferences from the Edit menu.
- Click Advanced on the left side of the dialog box.
- Check the box next to Enable JavaScript.
- Click the OK button.
Safari (Mac)
- Select Safari from the menu bar and click on Preferences....
- Click on the Security icon.
- Click on checkbox next to Enable JavaScript.
- Close that window.
- Close this window and Click the Reload button in the browser's row of icons in the EGXpress window.
Opera
- From the browsers File menu select Preferences
- Select Multimedia from the list on the left
- Check the Enable JavaScript box
- Push OK
- Reload the current page.
Mozilla (Windows)
- Select Edit from the menu bar and click on Preferences.
- Click on plus sign next to Advanced to show Advanced options.
- Click on Scripts and Plugins.
- Click on the checkbox next to Navigator under Enable JavaScript for.
- Click the OK button.
- Close this window and Click the Reload button in the browser's row of icons in the EGXpress window.
Mozilla (Mac)
- Select Mozilla under OS X or Edit under earlier OSs from the menu bar and click on Preferences.
- Click on triangle next to Advanced to open sub-menu if needed.
- Click on Scripts & Plugins.
- Click on checkbox next to Navigator under Enable JavaScript for.
- Click the OK button.
- Close this window and Click the Reload button in the browser's row of icons in the EGXpress window.
