Membership
Your state/territory faculty
Members of the RACGP are automatically granted membership of their state/territory faculty. Members in rural or remote areas of Australia are also granted complimentary membership of the National Rural Faculty, which recognises the special needs of rural and remote GPs.
The faculties provide core services and locally focused member activities including:
- providing QA&CPD advice, support and educational activities
- organising the FRACGP Examination within each state/territory
- addressing local member enquiries
- supporting general practice training accreditation of registrar supervisors and training practice
- member committees which inform, advise and assist the college to undertake its key roles of education, vocational training, research and quality care
- advocacy and leadership to promote a positive role for general practice within each state/ territory
- promoting collegiality through educational activities, newsletters and social functions
- responding to the many and varied individual enquiries regarding general practice and our college.
