RACGP Council elections - meet the candidates
Nominations closed on 5 June 2008 for the positions of President, Censor in Chief and Registrar Representative on Council for the RACGP. The distribution of the postal ballot commenced on 16 June 2008 to those eligible to vote in each election. If you did not receive a ballot paper and you believe that you are eligible to vote, please contact Mr Richard Kidd, Australian Election Company, Returning Officer - tel/fax: 1800 224 420; fax: 07 3408 8722; email: rkidd@austelect.com. The ballot will close at 4.00 pm AEST, Wednesday 16 July 2008 and votes will be counted on Thursday 17 July 2008. The results will be announced later that day. The RACGP extends its best wishes to all candidates.
New COAG IMG national assessment process commenced 1 July 2008
The College is very pleased that General Practice is recognised within the Specialist Pathway. There are three main pathways that on successful completion will lead to the appropriate level of medical registration for IMG doctors - The Specialist Pathway, The Competent Authority and The Standard Pathway.
